Tree-lined academic walkThe Wellness Committee will lead the development of a Wellness Program for employees of Duquesne University.

The Wellness Committee will: coordinate and promote many existing wellness efforts with the University; encourage and support new wellness efforts; and through


(1) communication,
(2) education, and
(3) physical, mental, and spiritual fitness programs, serve as the primary source of encouraging healthy living.

The benefits of a wellness program to individuals are obvious. The University will benefit as well by having healthy, happy, motivated employees. And both the University and its employees can benefit by improved health care costs.

A description of the services offered by the Wellness Program, such as the Wellness Libraries and Information, can be obtained by clicking on the bulleted list at the top of this page. You will find discussions of wellness topics from dealing with toddlers to Eldercare issues. You will also find the services and facilities offered to you as Duquesne University employee to help you have a full and productive life both on the job and at home.
