The
Wellness Committee will lead the development
of a Wellness Program for employees of Duquesne
University.
The Wellness Committee
will: coordinate and promote many existing wellness
efforts with the University; encourage and support
new wellness efforts; and through
(1) communication,
(2) education, and
(3) physical, mental, and spiritual fitness programs,
serve as the primary source of encouraging healthy
living.
The benefits of a wellness
program to individuals are obvious. The University
will benefit as well by having healthy, happy,
motivated employees. And both the University
and its employees can benefit by improved health
care costs.
A description of the
services offered by the Wellness Program, such
as the Wellness Libraries and Information, can
be obtained by clicking on the bulleted list
at the top of this page. You will find discussions
of wellness topics from dealing with toddlers
to Eldercare issues. You will also find the
services and facilities offered to you as Duquesne
University employee to help you have a full
and productive life both on the job and at home.
