Power Center Overview:

With the completion of the recreation center which comprises floors 2, 3 and 4 of the new Power Center on Forbes Avenue, Duquesne’s recreation and fitness programs have been expanded and enhanced.

Recreation at Duquesne is now coordinated through the Division of Student Life and includes intramural sports, club sports, fitness and wellness programs and special events.

Eligibility and Access:

All students, faculty, staff, and administrators currently enrolled or employed at Duquesne University and presenting a validated ID card may use any recreational facility during recreation hours or participate in any of the intramural events or activities.

Controlled access to the Power Recreation Center for Duquesne students and employees is provided at the second floor entrance, accessible from elevators in the lobby or from Sklar Skywalk.

ATMs
When you link your DU Card to a checking account from PNC Bank, your DU Card can also 'double' as an ATM Card at all MAC, NYCE, MOST, and PLUS ATMs Worldwide!

Bookstore
Duquesne University's Online Bookstore offers all the books and materials you need for your classes, Duquesne gear for when its time to relax, plus gifts and collectibles that show your school spirit.

Child Care Services
Duquesne University and the Collegiate YMCA offers child care for children 6 weeks to 5 years of age. This service is available to all members of the Duquesne community; faculty, staff, and students.

• Part-time enrollments are welcome and the cost is pro-rated accordingly.
• Financial assistance is available to those in need.

Computer Savings

Computing Services
The staff of CTS provides information including answers to common technical problems, contact information for and descriptions of the various subdivisions of CTS, and information about the many types of technology services the department provides for the benefit of the Duquesne University community. Credit Union
"The Little Giant Federal Credit Union" offers savings and loan opportunities, a holiday club account and much more, all by payroll deduction. Credit Union representatives are available in 217A Fisher Hall, Tuesday and Thursday – 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Call (412) 391-1340.The Credit Union's main office, located in 600 Chartiers Avenue, McKees Rocks, PA 15136, (412) 771-6400 is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. - 4:45 p.m.

Direct Deposit
Direct deposit, the University's preferred method of payment, is available to employees. Deposits may be made directly into your checking or savings account in an approved banking institution. DU CardThe DU Card
All Duquesne University employees are required to obtain a DU Card. The DU Card serves as your University ID, and an ATM card when linked to a PNC checking account.
The DU Card can be used as :
• Virtual Cash – used to make small purchases on campus
• Library Access
• Building Access
• Bookstore discounts where applicable

The DU Card Center is located in Room 203 of the Union. Office hours are Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Call (412) 395-6191, or visit the DU Card Center online.

 

Mailing Services TruckMailing Services
Mailing Services is the central mail facility for Duquesne University, processing internal mail and U.S. mail for distribution throughout the campus and preparing and processing outgoing and bulk mail. Mailing Services also serves as the liaison between the University community and the United States Postal Service.

Mailing Services sorts incoming and intracampus mail, averaging 6000 pieces of mail DAILY to over 125 departments and 23 buildings on campus. Mailing Services sorts & distributes mail and packages at the Student Mail Center, servicing over 2700 resident students.

Pittsburgh InclineMass Transit Permits
Payroll deductions may be made for the purchase of monthly Port Authority Transit (PAT) bus passes.

• Mass Transit Permits are a pre-tax benefit.
•Permits may be purchased from the Office of Human Resource Management – Fisher Hall (412) 396-6575
